Kapow is Kids and People on Wednesdays!

Life is pretty challenging. There are hard questions, tough temptations, real hurts. Is your faith up to it?
A few minutes on Sunday morning once in a while is not enough to build up faith into the real power that you need for the real tasks of daily life. Faith is a muscle that gets stronger when it is taken out and exercised regularly. That is why we do KAPOW; to give you the tools you need to live the full and abundant life that God gives followers of Jesus Christ. Fellowship, study, and prayer is the workout that will grow the faith you need for this world.

Kapow is our mid-week Wednesday night program at St. Matthew. Come and enjoy a fantastic meal, fellowship, and fun for all ages.

6:poo pm – We will continue The Story in October.
Faith begins and ends for us in the Bible. Not in the words themselves, but in the God who inhabits them, in the lives and events of his history with his faithful people, in the mistakes and tragedies and moments of grace that mark all of our lives. The world has an uneasy relationship with the Bible. Some of that is the church’s fault – we have used the Scriptures like a weapon to coerce and bully the world. Some of that belongs to us all – we have avoided the Bible and been ignorant to its wonders. There is a better way. We can have a living relationship with God’s living word.
The Story is a journey through the Scriptures that focuses our attention on the running narrative of a God who loves his creation and leads us to a deeper relationship with God and the community of faith. Week by week we will journey through the intricacy of the text to grow in faith and understanding.
If you have never read or studied the bible, this is for you. If you were a part of The Story when we read it together a few years ago, come back – the story is new every time we read it.
