CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Sunday School and Bible Studies, Confirmation and Vacation Bible School, the Church Library and Family Devotions - all are a part of the mission of the Christian Education Committee. To learn more, go to the Christian Education page. Youth Ministry at St. Matthew includes ministries for all ages. To learn about our youth groups and activities, see the Youth page. There are four circles at St. Matthew which meet monthly. To learn more, go the Women of the ELCA page. Wednesday is Light Night. An exciting evening filled with acitivies, go to the Light Night page to learn more. For prayer and devotional resources click here.MUSIC Our music ministry includes both an adult choir and a bell choir. During most of the year, the choir rehearses each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and the bell choir at 7:30 p.m. Children's music is incorporated into our Sunday School which prepares music for worship as well. The Worship and Music Committee oversees music-related activities and all of the aspects of our worship life. AUTUMN CLUB Autumn Club is open to adults of all ages. They meet monthly at the church on the first Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. S.A.L.T. S.A.L.T. is a monthly gathering of adults which provides events for couples and families. They sponsor the annual Ice Cream Festival which supports our youth camp participants. EVANGELISM The Evangelism Committee leads the congregation is sharing the Good News of God in Jesus Christ with the world around us by reaching out to those in our community and providing an atmosphere of hospitality within the congregation. STEWARDSHIP The Stewardship Committee promotes the expression of Christian faith in daily living and the responsible use of our time and financial resources for the work of Christ's church. COMMUNITY CARE The Community Care Committee works to extend Christian compassion and helpfulness to persons of all ages in need of aid in body or soul. PROPERTY COMMITTEE The Property Committee is responsible for all of the congregation's buildings and grounds. FINANCE COMMITTEE The Finance Committee prepares the draft budget for the congregation each year and oversees the financial affairs of the congregation. The St. Matthew Church Endowment Fund is a permanent depository of gifts which are invested in order that the proceeds can be put to work for special projects or needs of the church as determined by a congregation-elected Board of Trustees.
